The Historical Archive / National Bank of Greece participates for another year in the established celebration of Museum Night with a multifaceted programme that includes an exhibition of 10 contemporary artists inspired by its collections, collage, handmade paper and marble paper workshops for young and old visitors as well as a music event.

It also co-organizes with the Network for the Rights of the Child and 4 Directorates of Education the exhibition “The R of Rights”, with works by 50 illustrators and students from all over Greece on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Network’s foundation.

The aim is to highlight the rights to identity, freedom of opinion, participation and information, concepts that are also highlighted through the contemporary role of archives and museums.

The events are based on this year’s ICOM theme “Museums and societies in constant change”, which, according to the Greek section of the International Council of Museums, “invites us to envision new ways to preserve and deepen our cultural identity, enhancing the role of museums as vital social pillars of development”.

The exhibitions will be open to the public until 20 June.
