The Historical Archives – Museum of Hydra and Agkyra Publications will present the new book of the Hydraian Writer and Poet CHRISTOS DASKALAKIS, “A hair, a line”, on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 6 p.m. at the Cultural Events Hall of the Museum of Hydra.

About the book

One book, two covers, two unique stories.
Depending on which story the reader chooses to begin reading, they will be transported to one of two captivating stories that, although different from each other, share a common message: even something very small has the power to bring about the greatest changes.

A hair
Sometimes, say the grown-ups, we have to be careful what we wish for. But Teresa, the most beautiful but unruly hair on Nicola’s head, didn’t know this, so her wish came true after all. But quick wishes bring quick trouble. And so, from Nicola’s head and the safety of her family, she found herself in the vacuum cleaner bag, dust and clutter. I wonder if she’ll be able to change her wish? Will she understand how important it is to appreciate what we have and feel grateful for it?
A story about the importance of family, resilience and love for ourselves and others.

A Line
This little Line, though a tiny drop, is always trying to grow, to grow, to gain strength, so that it can do all the things that will transform the world into a more beautiful and safer place for all. He wants to make seas and homes, flowers and smiles, friends and hugs.
What difference does it make if she’s little! She won’t stop dreaming about it until she finally gets it.
Really, what would you do, if it were up to you, to make this world a better place?

A story about solidarity, diversity, empathy and the power of willpower in our lives.
