For the tenth consecutive year, George Karagiannidis, Professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is included in the list of the most influential scientists worldwide for the year 2024.

The list of distinguished researchers, entitled Highly Cited Researchers, is compiled by the internationally recognised organisation Clarivate Analytics and is based on data from the most reliable research database, Web of Science.

This year’s list includes a total of 6,886 scientists, out of the approximately 10,000,000 researchers active worldwide, with the highest impact based on the impact of their work over the past 11 years.

Only three researchers from Greek universities and research institutes are included in this year’s list, from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the University of Crete and the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH).

George Karagiannidis is Professor of Digital Telecommunication Systems at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His main research activities include: 5G and 6G wireless communications, Wireless power transfer, Signal processing for biomedical applications, etc.
