A photography contest on the chestnut and its cultivation in Melivonia and the wider region of Kissavos and Montenegro is organized by the Organization “Melivonia Demas” in cooperation with the Agricultural Cooperative of Melivonia and the Association of Professional Photographers of Larissa.

The competition will select the three best photographs chosen by the jury of the Association of Professional Photographers, which will win respective cash prizes: 300 euros for the first prize, 200 euros for the second and 100 euros for the third, while honorary distinctions will also be awarded.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

All Greek citizens, professional or amateur photographers, without exception, are eligible to participate in the competition, with the sole exception of the members of the jury. Contestants may send up to five (5) photographs on the subject of chestnuts and their cultivation to [email protected], no later than Sunday, October 20, 2024 at 12.00 (noon). Photos submitted to the competition must not be specially marked (signature or logo) and will be sent anonymously to the jury. The photographer’s details should be indicated in the body of the submission email (and not on the photo).

The photos will be evaluated by the jury and the results will be announced at a special event to be held during the Chestnut Festival 2024 on Sunday 27 October, where the cash prizes will be awarded to the winners.

The Melivoia Demas Organization reserves the right to display the winning photographs with the obligation to mention the name of the photographer.
