The members of the California Conservation Corp and EcoGenia are in the Municipality of Agia since Monday afternoon, participating in the action of highlighting and exchanging know-how in disaster management, organized jointly by the Municipality of Agia and the Network of Cities with Lakes.

At noon on Monday, the two delegations visited the Agia Town Hall and met with Mayor Antonis Gountaras, who informed them about the historical facts of the area, as well as the problems the Municipality faced during the floods of last September. Mr. Gountaras thanked the members of the two teams for their contribution to the response to the consequences of the disaster, stressed that the exchange of know-how is extremely important for the management of environmental resources and consequently the resilience of our regions and wished them a good stay at the coastal front of the Municipality of Agia.

Then they headed to the area of Stomio, where they took action in cleaning the paths and environmental maintenance of the Pinios Delta, while during the day they were guided to the archaeological monuments of the area by the director of the Larissa Antiquities Ephorate, Mrs. St. Sdrolia.
