The Department of Humanities of the University of Amsterdam, in the framework of the operation of the Chair of Modern Greek Studies “Marilena Laskaridis”, announces two (2) scholarships for visiting researchers.

The scholarships are funded by the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation, with the aim of promoting research in the field of Modern Greek Studies. For the academic year 2024-2025, one (1) fellowship for a period of (five) 5 months is offered for young researchers who completed their doctoral studies after 2018 and one (1) fellowship for a period of (five) 5 months for more experienced researchers who completed their studies between 2004 and 2018.

The fellows, who are selected exclusively by the University of Amsterdam on the basis of academic criteria, are required to stay in the city for the period specified in order to carry out their research.
