Description
The purpose of the program of the inter-institutional Postgraduate Studies Program is the cultivation and promotion of knowledge and research in the scientific fields of geriatrics and gerontology, as well as the social, and psychological problems that arise. In addition, the aim is to provide postgraduate students with specialized knowledge about the third and fourth ages (chronic diseases, pain, rehabilitation, nutrition, surgical complications, welfare and support, fragility, and care), aiming at their more complete preparation for a successful professional career.
Categories of candidates for study in postgraduate programs
Graduates of the Departments of Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, Nutrition, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and all their former names (such as Medical Laboratories) are accepted. Also, graduates related to Health Sciences Departments, such as Social Work, Sociology, and Psychology, as well as graduates related subjects with the above categories, will be eligible following a reasoned decision of the Sworn Administrative Examination.
Duration and fees of study
The duration of study in the MSc leading to the receipt of the Graduate Diploma is defined as a minimum of 3 academic semesters, including the time spent preparing the postgraduate thesis.
For their participation in the MSc program, students pay a total fee of three thousand euros (3,000.00€). The payment of the fees is made either in full or in three (3) equal installments.
