After many successful events with more than 35,000 visitors per year and 9 years of experience, the Athens Bike Festival makes a dynamic comeback for three days. Three days full of bicycles in the center of Athens.
Athletes, amateurs, ordinary friends of cycling, children, everyday citizens who are interested in alternative transportation, and all those who are involved with it in any form, give this year their own appointment to this great celebration.
Whatever you are looking for around the bike, you will find it at the Athens Bike Festival:
* New models: proposals from the largest bicycle, spare parts, and accessory companies
* E-bikes: everything about the new market of electric assistance
* Micromobility and scooters: lightweight, flexible vehicles that change movement
*Bicycle testing: Why we said that in order to love it, you have to know it!
* Cycling tourism: know options and choose destinations
Bicycle artist Lea Schaepe for the first time in Greece
Lea Schaepe is a renowned bicycle artist living in Germany. He has participated in dozens of festivals around the world, always outdoors, since this is exactly what he wants to promote: that artistic cycling does not have to take place indoors, but should go out on the street. All this is called artistic cycling freestyle, which she will show us along with her unique cycling tricks at the Athens Bike Festival!
Children at the heart of the Athens Bike Festival
The cyclists of tomorrow could not miss the Athens Bike Festival 2023. Thus, there will be a special tribute to “child and bicycle” that will include specialized trainers, a children’s learning track, and many more exclusives for young cyclists!
I learn and play with my bike.
On Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd of April, from 10am to 8pm, Athens Bike Festival offers free bike learning program to children. Whatever level of cycling they are at, whether they want to get rid of the wheels or just get more familiar and better balanced, the team of Mbike trainers takes it upon themselves to guide them into the magical world of cycling.
The program is aimed at children aged 5 to 12 years, Trainers have extensive experience in educational programs, and parents do not need to bring a bicycle, as ABF has already made sure that there are enough Greek-originated bicycles for children aged 5 to 12. The learning process can take from 15 to 30 minutes, and you can book your appointment on the spot and completely free of charge.
After the program or without following it, children can simply enjoy their rides on the specially designed track.
