Description
An innovative and particularly interesting Postgraduate Program of the Department of Forestry, Wood Science & Design of the School of Technology of the University of Thessaly entitled «Advanced Design, Technology & Management Methods of Wooden Products », operates successfully for the 9th consecutive year. It provides the following three (3) specializations: a) Product Design, b) Technology & Construction and c) Management & Marketing for the academic year 2023-2024, in Karditsa.
Graduates of the Department of Forestry, Wood Science and Design, graduates of Polytechnic Schools, graduates of Science, Economics, Management, Marketing, and graduates of other Departments (Universities or TEI) with relevance to the subject of this postgraduate program are admitted to the postgraduate program.
The syllabus includes the attendance of a total of ten (10) courses (5 in each semester) and the dissertation (3rd semester). Courses are conducted both physically and remotely (35%) and are held twice a month (Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday). The total tuition fee is 2,800 € per student for all three (3) semesters of study.
It is noted that two (2) scholarships for excellence are awarded each semester (1st & 2nd) to the students who achieve the highest grades in the respective courses. Scholarships are also given in special cases by companies in the industry.
Students who meet the criteria of Law 4957/2022 (article 86) are exempt from tuition fees
The courses are conducted in the excellent infrastructure and facilities of the Department of Forestry, Wood Science & Design at the Karditsa campus.
The laboratory and research equipment of the Department, worth more than 4.000.000 €, is exemplary, thus ensuring the excellent transfer of cutting-edge knowledge in the fields covered by this Postgraduate Program.
There is a direct interconnection of the postgraduate program with companies and institutions of the wood sector, which provides its graduates with a very important competitive advantage for finding a job.
Postgraduate students are encouraged to participate in the research projects of the postgraduate professors, while several continue their studies in the doctoral program.
Graduates of the postgraduate program are particularly satisfied with their participation in the program.
