Research, technology transfer and value creation
A series of workshops to develop and enhance research and innovation in Greece by the Onassis Foundation, the sectoral Scientific Council for technology transfer and intellectual property of the National Council for Research, Technology and innovation and Uni.Fund.
Can technology transfer actions and structures in universities and research centers be truly sustainable? the Onassis Foundation, the sectoral Scientific Council (Tes) of Technology Transfer and intellectual property of the National Council for Research, Technology and innovation (ESETEK) and Uni.Fund organizes for the second year a series of workshops on the business exploitation of research and Technology Transfer in Greek universities and Research Centers.
What can we learn from countries that have decades of similar experience? how is research activity changing as a result of the introduction of technology transfer structures and how can we imagine the field of research and innovation in the next decade as a result of these structures? the Onassis Foundation, continuing its presence in the field of innovation, seeks together with the research and business ecosystem how and the conditions in which technology transfer actions can make the substantial impact for which they are designed.
The third workshop in the series “Entrepreneurial Exploitation of research and Technology Transfer” raises the essential question of how we see the future of Technology Transfer structures over time, but also how we can evaluate their success or failure. As a first phase of the introduction of Technology Transfer structures into the Greek research and innovation system is completed, it is the right time to talk not only about the desirable, but also about the feasible, always having as a goal the release of forces and the development of a sustainable environment for research and innovation.
