
Students of the Department of Medicine at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) are offering voluntary support at Health Centers located in popular tourist destinations of Northern Greece, as well as at the General Hospital of Chalkidiki (Poligiros).
The Health Centers included in the program are: Nea Moudania Health Center, Kallikrateia, Kassandreia, Nea Madytos, Agios Nikolaos, Palaiochori, Rodolivos, Nea Zichni, Rodopoli, Iasmos, Nigrita, Kastoria, Alexandroupoli, Litochoro, and Katerini.
This initiative is carried out as part of the program titled “E.K.Y.V.E. 2025 – Strengthening Health Centers of Northern Greece” and is an initiative of the Thessaloniki branch of the Scientific Society of Medical Students of Greece (EEFIE), based at AUTH. The program is conducted under the auspices of the 3rd and 4th Regional Health Authorities.
The goal of the program is to support the work of doctors at Health Units in Northern Greece by the students of the Department of Medicine at AUTH during the summer months, when increased needs arise, as well as to provide practical training and improve the medical skills of the medical students of AUTH.
The program, with a total duration of eight weeks, started on July 21, 2025, and is expected to be completed in September.
