A Mobile Virtual Patients platform specially designed for navigation from mobile digital devices (tablets and mobile phones), was created by the Laboratory of Medical Physics and Digital Innovation of the Department of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
The virtual patient training platform offers medical students a modern digitized environment for treating various cases. The aim is to provide easy access to a rich, continuously enriched educational material, complementing the educational process. In this way, the students of the AUTH are offered a tool that is always available and can provide valuable information and knowledge at the same time.
“This is an initiative based on the modern trend which concerns learning based on the use of mobile devices and promotes the digitalization of education,” says the Director of the Laboratory of Medical Physics and Digital Innovation of the Department of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Professor Panagiotis Bamidis.
