With an interesting talk on “The Masks of Violence” by Ersi Asteriadis-Kouneli, Group Psychoanalyst, Family Therapist (European Association for Psychotherapy), the painting exhibition of George Douatzis will close at the “Arts Centre of the Municipality of Athens” on Sunday 26/5 at 11:30 am.

The painting exhibition by George Douatzis, entitled “FORTRESSES against violence” – with the support of the Culture, Sports and Youth Organization of the Municipality of Athens (OPANDA) and under the auspices of the Cultural Foundation of ESIEA – is a message against all forms of violence and will continue until Sunday 26 May 2024.

The exhibition includes fifty-eight works, acrylic on canvas, most of them painted in the last year, as well as eleven sections of the poem “War”, from the collection ” Fortresses”.

As George Douatzis states in the catalogue of the exhibition, “this exhibition is a small piece of awakening against violence, where artistic and poetic expression coexist. The title “FORTRESSES against violence” points to a dark part of human history, which, as long as there are people, unfortunately, seems to have no end“.

Opening Hours: Tuesday- Friday 11:00 – 19:00   Saturday- Sunday 10:00 – 15:00, Mondays Closed
