The historic shelter of Patras, which is located underneath Ipsila Alonia Square, reopens to the public on Friday 4 October, the day of the liberation of the city from the Nazi occupation troops.

The first tour of the shelter will take place at 11.30 in the morning immediately after the completion of the event organized by the municipality for the liberation of Patras in the square of Ipsila Alonia.

The site hosts archival and anniversary material of unique historical importance, through which moments from the bombing of the city at the beginning of World War II, the occupation and liberation are highlighted.

The shelter will remain open until Wednesday 4 December. The shelter will be open from 10.00 in the morning until 1.00 in the afternoon (except Saturday).
