ESTIA Nea Smyrni will hold a tribute to the great Greek Constantine Carathéodory , the eminent mathematician, scientist and enlightened teacher, the organizer of the University of Smyrna.

The biographer of Con. Carathéodory and spiritual child of his daughter, Despina Vlachostergiou-Vasvateki, will take the audience on a journey through Brussels, Egypt, Berlin, Smyrna, Athens, Munich, and the interesting, exciting, successful and disappointing life of the man whom Einstein recognized as his teacher in mathematics.

The presentation of the views of Constantine Carathéodory‘s contemporaries and scientists, by the leading Greek actress, playwright and director Mimi Denisi, will shed light on his multifaceted personality.

The President of ESTIA Nea Smyrni Ms. Anastasia Papadatou – Kapsi will address the audience.
