The Hellenic Parliament Foundation for Parliamentarism and Democracy, as part of the exhibition “1945: The End of the War,” continues its series of events entitled “Discussions at the Exhibition,” which will take place one Wednesday each month. The aim of the initiative is to examine the key turning points of this crucial year, which marked both the end of the war and the beginning of a new era for humanity.

The first discussion, entitled “World War II: The Significance of the Eastern Front,” will take place on Wednesday, February 18, at 7:00 p.m. at the former Public Tobacco Factory (218 Lenorman Street).

The following speakers will address the event:

Thanasis Sfikas, professor, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

Giorgos Margaritis, professor, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

Dionysis Chourchoulis, Associate Professor, Ionian University

The event is coordinated by Evanthis Hatzivassiliou, professor at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and secretary general of the Hellenic Parliament Foundation.
