The Hellenic Parliament Foundation for Parliamentarism and Democracy, as part of the exhibition “1945: The End of the War,” continues its series of events entitled “Discussions at the Exhibition,” which take place one Wednesday each month.

The aim of the initiative is to address the key turning points of this critical year, which marks both the end of the war and the beginning of a new era for humanity. The second discussion, entitled “81 years since the liberation of Auschwitz: public history, institutions, memory,” will take place on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the former Public Tobacco Factory (218 Lenorman Street).

The following speakers will participate in the event:

Giorgos Antoniou, Assistant Professor of History of Jewish Communities, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

Eleni Kouki, historian, researcher at the Jewish Museum of Greece

The event will be moderated by Zanet Battinou, director of the Jewish Museum of Greece.
