OPANDA participates in the anniversary events “1974 & 1944: Athens celebrates its Freedom”, organized by the Municipality of Athens, honoring at the same time two important anniversaries for Athens, the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the city from the German occupation and the 50th anniversary of the restoration of democracy.

Until October 23, 2024, every Monday and Wednesday, selected episodes from the documentary series “Chronicle of the National Resistance” of ERT’s archive, one of the most important productions on the period of the Occupation in Greece, will be screened, with free admission, at the Creative Learning Centres of the Municipality of Athens, in the neighbourhoods of the city.

After the end of the screenings there will be a commentary of the episodes by renowned historians and a discussion with the audience.
