Italy is the country of honour at the 21st Thessaloniki International Book Fair, which starts on 8 May at the TIF-HELEXPO exhibition hall. Of the more than 450 events planned, more than 100 are aimed at children, teenagers and teachers.

In the Children’s and Teenagers’ Corner, in the main exhibition of rhymes and illustrations “Small and Italian”, works by Greek authors and illustrators inspired by the literature, symbols, tastes and smells of Italy are presented in a specially designed space.

Among them, a very tasty poem by Eugenios Trivizas, with a dreamy illustration by Amalia Sarri: Pinocchio as a gondolier in a Venetian canal with mermaids and harlequins!
