The Photographic Album “Travelling through Time and People” by Ioannis Bouloubasis is published by UER PRESS and the non-profit organization The Hellenic Union in Romania.

The purpose of the photographic travelogue in Transylvania, Romania was to illustrate the historical connection of post-communist Romania with the Eastern and Western Philosophy of Europe, but also its deep connection, with its multiculturalism, which returned after the fall of the real socialism. The scrapbook highlights this strong sense that was historically associated with the Greeks, Franks, Hungarians and Austrians, along with other elements of national races, of Eastern and Western Europe. At the same time, it reflects the Romanians’ attempt to regain their National Independence through freedom of speech, faith, and tradition, incorporating influences from the current of a Western and globalized Europe.
