The National Library of Greece (NLG) continues to open its doors to its young friends, offering a rich program of educational activities that combine knowledge with play, creativity with imagination.
In its welcoming spaces at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, children are invited to discover the world of books and art through experiential activities: theatrical play, visual arts, exploration, and collaboration. In this way, the educational activities of the NLG encourage their active participation, sharpen their observation skills, and cultivate a love of books.
Participation in all NLG activities is free of charge.

We invite you to a carnival workshop full of creativity, improvisation, and theatrical magic! A treasure hunt takes us to 16th-century Venice, where we put on our masks, become members of a Commedia dell’Arte troupe, and write our own script. The show begins!

Art notebooks: Sculpture
Have you ever heard a rock talk or laugh? Have you ever seen marble resting, embracing affectionately, or preparing to fly?
A sculpture workshop inspired by the work of distinguished sculptor Giannoulis Halepas, who, by observing nature and life, managed to breathe life into lifeless marble.
During the activity, children express themselves creatively through clay and come into contact with literary texts related to sculpture, developing their imagination and powers of observation.
