On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, the President of the Athens Chamber of Tradesmen (EEA) and Honorary Doctor of the University of Piraeus, Mr. Ioannis Hatzitheodosiou, accompanied by the Second Vice President of the ACC, Mr. Nikos Kougioumtzis, visited the 53rd Book Festival.

Mr. Hatzitheodosiou was given a tour of the exhibitors’ stands by the President of the Hellenic Publishers Association, Mr. Konstantinos Angelakis, and the Secretary General of the Hellenic Publishers Association, Ms. Evangelia Chyti, and spoke with publishers, authors, and readers, emphasizing that the EEA is always there for professionals in the book industry and will keep supporting publishing companies with all the means at its disposal. At the same time, he said that it is the duty of the State to support the Greek book ecosystem, which is a fundamental element of contemporary Greek culture.

Finally, he had a brief meeting with the President of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr. Nikitas Kaklamanis, who attended the 53rd Book Festival as part of an event organized by the Parliament Foundation.
