The House of Cyprus, Frederick University, and Epikentro Publications are organizing an event on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. entitled:
City Architecture. How does design affect our lives?
through the presentation of two books on Urban Planning and City Architecture that introduce basic concepts and lessons learned from experience.
Keynote speakers:
- Rena Klampatsea, Professor at the School of Architectural Engineering, National Technical University of Athens
Book Launch- “Urban Planning and Architecture of the City. Introduction to basic concepts”
- Dimitris Melissas, Professor at the School of Civil Engineering, National Technical University of Athens
Book Launch “Urban Planning and Architecture of the City. Lessons from Experience”
Brief interventions from members of the writing team:
- Alkistis Rodi, Professor at the Department of Architectural Engineering, University of Patras
- Konstantinos Serraos, Professor at the School of Architectural Engineering, National Technical University of Athens
Afterword by the author and editor:
- Vyron Ioannou, Professor in the Department of Architectural Engineering at Frederick University
The venue will host an illustration exhibition featuring works by Argyro Mougolia and Laura Oikonomidi.
