On Saturday, November 22, 2025, ENIA Gallery presents Tassos Triantafyllou’s solo exhibition entitled “TERRA URBANA.”

As the artist states, “the works in the TERRA URBANA section are impressions (pencil-frottage) of shifts and alterations in the structural elements of the urban landscape that were identified and evaluated as primary material, the further processing of which leads to a reinterpretation of the place through the production of the artwork.

I have captured this delicate membrane, ‘The Skin of the Place’, which forms the boundary between ‘below’ and ‘above’, the chthonic and the terrestrial, in various manifestations and versions.”

Thomas Symeonidis states, among other things, in his text for the exhibition: “His focus is on what is most common, most public: the sidewalks. In this way, it provides a critical background for the creation and experimentation with new mechanisms of sensing and reading the body of the city. On the surfaces it captures, we can recognize components not only of a body, but also of a speech, a surface, a depth, and perhaps most importantly, the sensory code of recording human activity and time through their participation in different scales of matter composition.

Theoretical supervision: Thomas Symeonidis, Writer, Lecturer at the Athens School of Fine Arts.
