From October 23 to November 17, 2025, the Athens Municipal Gallery will host Elke Lagansky’s exhibition “KOSMOS,” which is being held with the support of OPANDA.

The German artist, who has been living and working in Athens since the 1980s, will present her work from the last 25 years (2000–2025). Her intensely personal painting records her relationship with her personal space and the wider universe, with a strong sense of existential anxiety.

Elke Lagansky uses materials such as soil, tar, and glue, experimenting with new modes of expression, but always maintaining the timeless values of painting, so that her work is distinguished by its high aesthetic quality and directness of expression.
