The Petroupolis Film Club will screen on Wednesday, 31/1, at 20:00 at the “Petroupolis” Cinema (Petroupolis Cultural Centre, 59 Bouboulinas & Ath. Diakou), the film by Nikos Theodosiou, “Mr. Leonardos and the others”. The entrance, as always, is free.

The screening will be attended by the director and will be followed by a discussion.

About the film

Mr Leonardos, an itinerant projectionist, arrived in Kastori in Laconia in 1905 to give two film performances. But he did not have time because he fell ill and died. The film looks for those who continued his work.

The camera travels all over Greece and meets unique people, full of passion, suffering and nostalgia. It sees them excavating old projection machines in dark basements, digging up yellowed papers and photographs, touching the film as if it were silk and getting lost in their memories, recording incredible stories.
