On Friday, March 13, 2026, the Anglican Church opens its doors for a special live music experience with Marva Von Theo and Moonmoth. In a space with a strong acoustic identity and distinctive architectural presence, where sound and silence take on a special sense of depth, duration, and mystery, the atmospheric dark pop music of the two Athenian bands finds space to breathe, transform, and be experienced with emotional intensity.
In the solemn silence of the space, Marva Von Theo create a living sound ritual, where the electronic world meets the human breath. Piano, vocals, and trumpet intertwine with ethereal synths, atmospheric textures, and subtle beats, lending cinematic intensity to their music. The performance serves as a mystical preview of their upcoming third album, with works being heard for the first time, before they take their final form. Joining them as a special guest on trumpet is Petros Kasimatis.

In the same context of the evening, Moonmoth present a sound universe that moves between ambient and ritualistic, with strange dark sounds and emotional interludes, through material from their first album. The acoustic sound of the classical guitar is combined with electronic soundscapes and minimal beats, while the two female voices add lyricism and intensity to the overall sound narrative.

Marva Von Theo was formed in 2018 by Marva Voulgari (singer, songwriter, pianist) and Theo Foinidis (pianist, composer, producer), carving out a distinctive path in the electronic-pop scene with their emotional and boldly personal sound. Their music is a sophisticated composition of electronic, acoustic, and orchestral elements, rich in contrasts—introverted and explosive, fragile and imposing.
They have released two albums—Dream Within a Dream (2018) and Afterglow (2021)—with their third album, We Were Never Lost, expected in 2026. Known for their atmospheric, electrifying live performances, they have opened concerts for Trentemøller and Hooverphonic, and have appeared at Release Athens (in a line-up with Leftfield and Stereo Nova) as well as at select European festivals.
