Under the title “Tracing Routes, Networks and Links in Cultural Heritage“, the European Heritage Days are celebrated for the year 2024 under the coordination of the Directorate of Archaeological Museums, Exhibitions and Educational Programmes of the Ministry of Culture.
The Epigraphic Museum participates in the celebration by organizing activities with the special theme “Ancient Networks, Alliances and Consuls“. Specifically:
On Friday 27/9/2024 at 12:00 and Saturday 28/9/2024 at 12:00 there will be one-hour guided tours by archaeologists of the Museum, who will present to the public selected exhibits of the Epigraphic Museum concerning treaties of alliance and consular resolutions with which the Athenian municipality honoured and awarded the title of consul to foreign citizens who rendered important services to the city of Athens.
