The Film Club of the Department of Social Theology and Christian Culture of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki organizes, on Wednesday 4 December 2024 at 18.15, in the Conference Hall of the first floor of the Faculty of Theology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, a tribute to the director Takis Kanellopoulos, with the screening of the film “Sonia”.

According to the organizers, Takis Kanellopoulos is one of the most emblematic figures of contemporary Greek cinema. Immediately after the screening of the film, there will be a discussion about its creator and his contribution to the 7th art, in which personalities from the theatre and cinema have been invited to participate: actor Akis Sakellariou and director Kostas Ferris. The panel of speakers also includes the young director Marios Papageorgiou, who is familiar with Kanellopoulos’ film work.
