Marginalia Gallery presents Dimitris Papanikolaou’s painting exhibition entitled “Synthiki” on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.

The exhibition will run until January 3, 2026.

As the artist himself says, “Speaking about my work, I would say that at its core are people and the conditions they create within a space. When I paint, I try to discover the hidden beauty of things by giving shape and color to what I see. Painting is a process of ‘from the inside out’; I paint from the inside out, I paint emotions, and this can be seen in the ‘lines’ on the faces and bodies of the people depicted. In my work, I try to render what I see, not copy it. Far from a photographic perception of reality, one can render one’s work in a completely painterly and subjective way.”
