On October 11, 2025, the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation and Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) inaugurated the Marilena Laskaridis Center for Modern Greek Culture.

The ceremony was attended by the President of the University Council, Ms. Yin Dongmei, the Director of the Department of Modern Greek Studies, Ms. Hu Jingjing, as well as the President of the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation, Mr. Panos Laskaridis, and the General Director, Mr. Konstantinos Mazarakis-Ainian.

Located on the Songjiang campus, the Marilena Laskaridis Center for Modern Greek Culture is a modern multipurpose space with a library, study and meeting space, suitable for seminars, lectures, and events, offering students and researchers access to important works of modern Greek literature.

This initiative is part of the broader work of the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation to promote Greek literature and strengthen teaching and research on Greek culture internationally.
