The 4th meeting to celebrate World Mountain Day was held with great success on Sunday, December 14, 2025, in Omolio, with a unique walk on the outskirts of Kissavos, full of nature, history, and local flavors.

The event was organized by the Municipality of Agia, the Omolio Forestry Cooperative, the Omolio Cultural Association, the SAEK Dimitra Mountain Guides Department, and the Culture – Environment – Sustainable Development Network of the Peneus Delta – Tembi, under the auspices of the Region of Thessaly.

Two unique routes in Kissavos

Participants had the opportunity to choose between two unique routes:
1. “In the footsteps of Alexander the Great in Kissavos”
Hiking in Kissavos, following the path that, according to tradition, Alexander the Great crossed. An experience that combined physical exercise with historical reflection.
2. “Discover Kissavos! – Marino Antypas Walk”
A walk to learn about history, nature, and culture, highlighting the power of words and music in a landscape of unparalleled beauty.
