Golden fields full of cornfields moving rhythmically in the wind, a motorcycle running parallel to the fire, gas stations with signs that act like beacons in the middle of nowhere, cars abandoned in an indefinite position in time and place, the alloy of a controversial and, precisely for this reason, absolutely charming aesthetic. Next to all of this, the dusk and racket vacationers emerge as the only non-negotiable lovers of the Greek summer, left to be captured forever in the click of a carefree ideal and overtly vulnerable.

Under the gossamer veil of warm ochre, Rozita Spinasa’s photographs take the form of small confessional chronicles that together make up the pieces of a multidimensional puzzle. With an unquenchable desire to search for meaning in the place of origin where her summers unfold in the prefecture of Ilia, the photographer unfolds images drawn from an alloy of retro nostalgia that can sometimes touch ambivalence.

Rozita Spinasa comes from Amaliada, she was born and lives in Athens. She studied law at the Universities of Athens and Cologne and works as a lawyer and mediator.

In 2017, her short story collection “stomastomasto” was published, with which she was nominated for the award for the first time in
prose of the magazine “Anagnostis”, and in 2019 her second collection of short stories “Seeds for planting” (Kedros Publications) was published.

In 2021 she attended a photography seminar at the Leica Academy School and in September 2023 she held her first solo exhibition
entitled “Wanderings in Ilioupolis”.

“Road trip to the Wild West” is her second photographic exhibition.
