The Municipality and the local community of Agia, the Region of Thessaly, the Municipal Water and Sewerage Company of Agia (DEYA Agias), and the Union of Municipalities of Thessaly (PED Thessaly) are organizing multi-day events on the occasion of the religious feast of the patron Saints Antonios, the inauguration of the 28th Apple Festival, the anniversary of liberation from the Turks, as well as various parallel events.

This is the biggest summer celebration for the Municipality of Agia, traditionally gathering a large number of visitors as well as almost the entire local population. The program of events, which will last from Sunday, August 31st to Saturday, September 6th, is as follows:

PROGRAM

SUNDAY, 31/08/2025

  • General flag decoration of houses and shops from noon on August 31 until the evening of September 1

  • 7:15 pm: Gathering of local authorities to welcome His Eminence Bishop Epiphanius of Olbia

  • 7:30 pm: Great Archieratical Vespers presided over by His Eminence Bishop Epiphanius of Olbia

  • 8:00 pm: Arrival of officials

  • 8:30 pm: Procession of the icon accompanied by the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Municipality of Tyrnavos

  • 9:45 pm: Greetings – Speeches – Opening of the Apple Festival

MONDAY, 01/09/2025

  • 7:30 am: Matins and Divine Liturgy officiated by His Eminence Bishop Epiphanius of Olbia

  • 10:00 am: Arrival of officials, doxology, speech on the liberation of the city, wreath laying ceremony

  • 9:00 pm: Musical night with the orchestra of Christos Papachristou

TUESDAY, 02/09/2025

  • 9:00 pm: Water activities by the Municipal Water and Sewerage Company of Agia (DEYA Agias) – Concert with Eleni Tsaligopoulou
