A series of events for the celebration of the Patron Saints of Agia, the Holy Metropolis of Demetrias and the Municipality of Agia, on Friday 17 January.

The religious events will begin on Thursday afternoon, January 16, with the celebration of the Great Festive Vespers and will end at noon on Friday with the procession of the Holy Icon of the Saints Anthony.

In more detail the program of the religious events which will be presided by the Archpriest Commissioner of Agia, Fr. Athanasios Makris, are as follows:

  • Flagging and illumination of Agia
  • 6:00pm. Great Pan-Holy Vespers with Divine Preaching by the Abbot of the Holy Monastery of St. Panteleimon, Father Nicodemus Agathonikos

Friday 17 January 2025

  • 7:30 a.m.Holy Mass
  •  9:00 a.m. Archdiocesan Divine Liturgy with Divine Preaching by His Eminence Metropolitan Ignatius of Demetrias and Agia
  • 10:00 a.m. Arrival of Guests
  • 10:30 a.m. Completion of Holy Mass
  • Pilgrimage of the Holy Icon of SAINT ANTHONY
