The Municipal Conservatory of Edessa organizes four musical evenings, structured around two iconic works of poetry and music.

  • June 24 on the “Strawberry Moon”
  • July 24 on the “Buck Moon”,
  • August 22 on the “Sturgeon Moon”,
  • September 21 on the “Corn Moon”,

Four full moon nights, from the balcony of the Cultural Center of Edessa.

December 2020 marked the 250th anniversary of the great German composer Ludwig van Beethoven’s birth (December 17, 1770) and November 2020 marked the 30th anniversary of our great poet, Giannis Ritsos’ death (November 11, 1990). The pandemic and lockdowns of 2020 prohibited us from honoring properly their memory, but It is now 2021, and such great creators continue to live on as long as we maintain an open dialogue and a ‘conversation’ with their works.

With that in mind, artists from different ‘worlds’, with new ideas and different perspectives, invite you to the musical evenings under the balcony, every full moon at 21:00.
