With great success was held on Sunday 15/12/2024, at Kambos Keramia, the annual great Christmas celebration – institution of the Chania mainland “Christmas at the foot of the Lefka Ori“.

The Municipality of Chania, the Local Community of Kambos and the Cultural Association of Kambos co-organized a celebration for young and old with activities and surprises for everyone!

More than 2000 visitors of all ages enjoyed the offered food and drinks and participated in unique activities, such as:

• Off road routes up to Profitis Ilias near Volika shelter, with the 4×4 vehicles of UNCHARTED ESCAPES
• Archery lessons from the Standard Archery Academy of Chania “KRIS”
• placing Christmas wishes on the Wishing Tree
• feeding of animals at the Shepherd’s Barn
• acquaintance with the horses, ponies and the parrot Pokopiko by Spyros Malaxianakis
• a ride to get to know the village, by train
• A Karagiozis show
• lessons and rides with electric Mountain Bikes from Daring Trails
• show from Zogler – Stilt walkers
• gifts from Santa Claus
• Photobooth and Face Painting
• Re-enactment of the Magi with the Gifts and lighting of the Christmas Tree.

The programme was musically invested with:

• music selections by DJ Dimitris Taktiko
• Cretan music by Nikos Pontikakis and dances from the Folklore Club of Chania by Yannis Agiasmenakis
• modern program by Manos Malaxianakis

The excellent organization and the massive and massive participation of the people, helped everyone to live a unique Christmas experience and collect essentials for the Social Grocery of the Municipality of Chania.
