
The Municipality of Agia, on the occasion of the celebration of the World Children’s Book Day and World Autism Awareness Day, for Primary and Secondary Education students, will hold on Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 April 2025 the first two-day open action at the Central Square of Agia. The event is organized in cooperation with the Region of Thessaly, the Regional Directorate of Education of Larissa, the educational units of the Municipality of Agia and ΕΝΝΕΓΥΛ Larissa.
Purpose and Objectives of the two-day action
The two-day action has as main objectives:
- Information and Awareness: to inform students about the importance of books throughout their lives and to bring them into contact with the sensitive issue of autism.
- Education: to make students understand the multiple benefits they can gain from their exposure to books in terms of their intellectual and learning development and the importance of showing their acceptance of diversity.
- Skill development.
- Promoting social cohesion: To foster a sense of social responsibility

WEDNESDAY 2 APRIL 2025
- 10:00 -Opening
- 10:15-Addresses
- 10:45-Speech on the topic of autism by the teacher Konstantinos Sapanidou.
- 11:10 Presentation of the value of the book on the cave of Philoctetes by the author Zafiria Koutzamanoglou, followed by a discussion with the students of the schools.
- 12:00 Dramatization of roles from the book The Cave of Philoctetes by ENEEEYL Larissa and awarding of the best texts.
THURSDAY 3 APRIL 2025
- 10:00 Opening
- 10:15 Addresses
- 10:30 Speech on the topic of autism by teacher Deli Georgia Ντελή
- 10:50 Presentation of the value of the book << Our Family Dragons>> by the author Chrysanthi Tsiambali and then a discussion with the students of the schools.
- 11:15 Artistic action on the theme of the presentation of the book<<< Our Family Dragons>> and its implementation in the school units.
- Award for the best texts
