The carnival events in the Community of Agia are expected to be rich this year, organized with the cooperation and support of the Women’s Association of Agia, the Cultural and recreational Association of Agiotes “M. Dallas”, the Parents and Guardians Associations of the Primary and Kindergartens of Agia, the Association of Health Runners of Agia and various Cultural Associations of the Municipality.

More specifically:

On Saturday 1 March the carnival events in Agia are as follows:

-4:30pm gathering of young and old at the square of Agia

-5:00pm activities for our young carnivalists with a juggler and his assistant

-6:00pm carnivalists parade, to the sound of brass bands, and return to the square

7:00pm fire lighting

7:30pm we dance the donkey dance, followed by a traditional feast, until late at night, with the GKAIMNTE band.
The Women’s Association of Agia will offer wine, sausages and pies.

On Sunday 2 March we continue the carnival events in Agia as follows:

12.00pm : Carnival party of the Parents and Guardians Associations of the Primary and Kindergartens of Agia at the Central Square.

5.00pm:Fire lighting

5.30pm: The “M.Dallas” Association dances the donkey and we burn the King Carnival.

The Women’s Association of Agia will offer wine, sausages and pies.

On Clean Monday, March 3, Lenten dishes, hot bean soup, wine and halva will be offered from 11 am in the square of Agia.
