The municipality of Agia and the Association of Health Runners of Agia with the support of the Region of Thessaly, organize on Sunday, April 30, 2023 the 5th Mountain Race ” Kissavos Marathon Race-Green Way “Evangelos Koumparos””.

The 5th Mountain Race of Kissavos includes the following routes:

1st Route KISSAVOS MARATHON RACE-green way 40 km

Route: the route follows marked traditional paths with starting point on 1st September Street, in the central square of Agia (185m), passes by Megalovriso (600m), follows a northwest course in the mountain of Kissavos and reaches the peak of AI Lias (1978m).  From the top, following a Southeast course, it crosses the village Anatoli (960m) and from there through an impressively beautiful path it meets Metaxochori and ends at 1st September Street where is the terminus.

2nd route KISSAVOS MARATHON RACE-green path 20 km

Route: the route follows marked traditional paths. From the starting point, on 1st September Street, in the central square of Agia (185m) following the traditional path of Agia – Megalovrysos reaches Megalovrysos (600m). Then it enters the path Megalovriso-Aelia and just before the chapel (1044m) it follows a Southwest course and through a path East – Agia crosses Metaxochori (300m) and ends at 1st September Street.

3rd route KISSAVOS MARATHON RACE-green path 12 km

Route: The route follows marked traditional paths, starting at 1st September Street, central square of Agia (185m) and following the traditional path of Agia – Megalovryso reaches Megalovryso (600m). Then it follows a Southwest course and through the path East – Agia crosses Metaxochori (300m) and ends at 1st September Street where it ends.

4th running KISSAVOS MARATHON RACE 1500 m

Route: The race starts from Metaxochori Square and following the main road reaches “Chrysalida”, where it turns left to pass through the park and then following the road reaches 1st September Street where the finish.
