The final composition of the R.E.D.C. will need to ensure the interdisciplinary approach and the comprehensive examination of the ethical, deontological and legal issues that arise in the context of research.

The Research and Management Committee of the Special Account for Research Funds (SARF) of the University of Thessaly invites interested parties to apply for the positions of full and alternate members of the Research Ethics and Deontology Committee (R.E.D.C.) of the University of Thessaly.

In order to reach its decision in terms of the composition of the R.E.D.C., the Research Committee, when evaluating the applications, will consider the following:

  1. The candidates’ experience as Scientific Officers in implementing and managing projects
  2. The previous participation of the candidates in respective ethics / deontology / bioethics committees.
  3. The representation, in the composition of R.E.D.C., of the academic disciplines of the Faculties of the University.
  4. The final composition of the R.E.D.C. so as to ensure the interdisciplinary approach and the comprehensive examination of the ethical, deontological and legal issues that arise in the context of research.

In the final decision regarding the formation of the R.E.D.C., which is issued by the Rector, the President and the Vice President will be appointed.

The Call for Expressions of Interest for the establishment of the R.E.D.C. has been posted on the website of the SARF of the University of Thessaly (www.ee.uth.gr), as well as the website of the University of Thessaly (www.uth.gr). Interested parties are invited to submit the application form attached to the Call for Expressions of Interest accompanied by a CV, at the e-mail address of the SARF of the University of Thessaly ([email protected]) until Friday 10/09/2021 at 14:00.
