“Summer in Athens” is back, transforming the city’s neighborhoods into a vibrant hub of art and culture. Residents and visitors to Athens welcome artists, events, and all forms of creativity in the city’s squares, parks, and streets.
Key policy priorities of the City of Athens include free access to culture and public spaces, as well as fostering a “dialogue” between the city and contemporary artistic creation.
The City of Athens, through the City of Athens Organization for Culture, Sports, and Youth, is issuing an open call to artists, cultural organizations, and creative groups to submit artistic proposals for participation in the festival.
The festival focuses on performing arts that can be presented in open public spaces, such as (but not limited to) musical events, dance performances, performance art, stand-up comedy, and theatrical events.
Proposals may be aimed at either adult or child audiences.
Interested parties may submit complete artistic proposals from March 23 to April 20, 2026, via the online platform: festival.opanda.gr
For more information and details regarding the open call, interested parties may contact us at the following email address: [email protected]
