The Sylvia Ioannou Charitable Foundation announces the new cycle of its Scholarship Program for master’s and doctoral studies, with Cyprus as the central theme of the thesis or doctoral dissertation. The program covers the academic year 2026-2027.

Requirements

The Scholarship Program is one of the Foundation’s top priorities. Its aim is to support young scientists and students from Cyprus and Greece who wish to pursue postgraduate studies (Master’s or Doctorate) in any scientific field. A prerequisite for participation in the Program is that Cyprus must be the central theme of the postgraduate thesis or doctoral dissertation, regardless of the subject of study. Research topics may relate, for example, to the history, archaeology, geography, culture, society, architecture, etc. of Cyprus.

The scholarships are for Greek and Cypriot graduates of Greek or Cypriot Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) with a degree grade of at least eight (8) and aged up to 33 years old.

The scholarship provides financial support in the form of a fixed amount, regardless of tuition fees or university, is renewed annually after evaluation, and has a maximum duration of three (3) years.
