In the framework of the Postgraduate Studies Programme (MSc) entitled “Multifunctional Management of Forest Ecosystems and Bio-economy“(http://msc-forest.fwsd.uth.gr), of the Department of Forestry, Wood Science and Design (http://fwsd.uth.gr), of the School of Technology of the University of Thessaly, according to the decision of the Rector of the University of Thessaly for its establishment (Government Gazette 3685/3-9-2020, vol. 107/29-05-2024 (Topic 6) decision of the Assembly of the Department of Forestry, Wood Sciences and Design, interested persons are invited to apply for admission to the Department for the Academic Year 2024-2025.

Graduates of the Departments of Forestry, formerly Forestry and Εxtensive Forestry, are admitted to the MSc, Geotechnical Sciences, Environment, graduates of other Departments of Higher Education Institutions (Universities or TEI) with relevant relevance to the subject of this MSc, which are judged by the competent Selection Committee for Postgraduate Students, graduates of foreign universities of related specialization, after providing the equivalence of their degree by the competent institution.

The MSc is offered on a full-time basis. The minimum duration of studies for the award of the Diploma of Postgraduate Studies is three academic semesters, which include 10 courses (in the first two semesters) and a postgraduate thesis (in the third semester). The total number of credits (ECTS) required for the degree is 90 (ninety).

The number of students who will be admitted to the MSc during the academic year 2024-2025 is thirty (30).

Registration for the MSc will take place in the second 15th day of September 2024, while the courses will start in early October 2024 and will be conducted in person and remotely (in accordance with the current legislation),every 15 days,on Fridays (afternoon), Saturdays and Sundays, at the premises of the Department of Forestry, Wood Science and Design in Karditsa.
