The founding assembly of the Cyprus Academy of Marketing (CAM) took place on Thursday 13 June 2024 at the University of Cyprus, attended by 24 academics specialising in the field of marketing and working in state universities (e.g., University of Cyprus, Cyprus University of Technology, Open University of Cyprus) and private universities (e.g, During the meeting, the statutes of CAM were presented and unanimously approved and the importance of this new association in the economic, business and social development of the country was emphasized.
CAM’s mission is to promote and disseminate the science and knowledge of marketing in Cyprus and the wider region, focusing on the academic and educational community, the business world and society at large. CAM has set ten major objectives to be achieved, covering research, education, interface with businesses/organisations, and contact with society.
Specific actions that have been identified to achieve these objectives are through research collaborations, open lectures, the organization of scientific conferences, training seminars, round table discussions, consultancy services, market research, publication of articles and newsletters, public enlightenment on marketing issues, and exchange of information and experience with marketing academies in other countries.
