The company’s management recently decided to offer three full scholarships for the Postgraduate Program “Maritime Science and Technology Management”. The criteria for the selection of students for the scholarship will be based on academic performance and will be specified by the Program’s Study Committee. The scholarships will start in the current academic year and will be awarded to students of the 4th cycle of the program. The decision to award the scholarships was announced by Mrs. Nikolaos Hatzopoulos, President and CEO and Ioannis Pontikakos, member of the Board of Directors, in a meeting with the Director of the Postgraduate Program and Chairman of the Department of Maritime Studies of the University of Piraeus, Professor Yannis Theotokas and the Deputy Director of the Program and Dean of the School of Naval Cadets, Professor George Galanis.

The Inter-Institutional Postgraduate Program Maritime Science and Technology Management (https://dinet.unipi.gr/) was established through the collaboration between the Department of Maritime Studies of the University of Piraeus and the School of Naval Cadets, the two educational institutions with the longest tradition in the fields of management and technology in shipping. It started its operation in the academic year 2020-21 with the specializations (a) “Maritime Science Management and Economics” and (b) “Maritime Technology Management”.

The Programme aims to provide graduates with theoretical, practical, analytical and synthetic knowledge and skills at postgraduate level in the fields of Administration, Economics and Management in Maritime Science and Technology in order to understand, manage and decide on critical administrative, financial, technical and economical issues in the operation of maritime businesses and activities.
