During the academic year 2023-24 (September 2023 – July 2024) the external evaluation process for 48 MSc programmes of the Hellenic Open University was carried out by committees of external experts. At this stage, the process has been fully completed for 23 MSc Programmes, which have been certified with absolute success and high scores, which confirms the quality of the HOU’s curricula. It is worth noting that the 23 Master’s programmes were assessed, in all 10 principles of the model, with excellent (full compliance) in 77.39%.

Common findings of the 24 Committees for all 48 MSc programmes of the HOU are:

• The very good teacher-student ratio.
• The highly qualified academic staff.
• The advanced infrastructures in the management of MSc programmes.
• The flexible learning environment, which allows HOU students to combine their studies with their professional and personal commitments.
• The significant expertise that the HOU has in distance learning.
• The excellent contact between teachers and students.
• The University’s strong commitment to continuous improvement through regular evaluations.

• The innovative MSc’s.

Indicatively, it is noted that the evaluation process of the 48 MSc programmes involved a total of:

• 467 members of the teaching staff (faculty & TAs) of the MSc programmes
• 507 active students of the MSc programmes
• 421 graduates/students of MSc
• 419 social partners/stakeholders working with the Programmes
