Specially designed educational programs and art workshops for the children’s summer vacations

Educational program about the Ancient Game accompanied by an art workshop
Dates: July 1, 5, 7 and 9, 2021, at 11:00 – 12:30
Children will get to know the toys and games that children played in Ancient Greece, through a tour of the “Child World” wing of the permanent exhibition and by touching and physically examining copies of ancient toys. Lastly, in an art workshop they will make their own ancient toy, inspired by the exhibits.
The program is aimed at children aged 6 to 8 years.
Educational program titled “Glass, my little glass; I find you in the Museum” accompanied by an art workshop.
Dates: July 12, 15, 19 and 22, 2021, at 11:00 – 12:30
The children will learn about pottery in Ancient Greece, and they will look for the relevant exhibits in the Collection of Vases with the guidance of an archaeologist. They will collect information about them and touch copies of ancient vases. They will also participate in an art workshop under the guidance of the Museum painter, and will create their own paper vase, inspired by the exhibits.
The program is aimed at children aged 9 to 11 years
All educational activities are provided free of charge.
The number of seats is limited due to health safety measures.
