The Hellenic Open University (HOU), the predominantly public higher education institution in open and distance learning, offers 3 Undergraduate, 1 Special and 35 Postgraduate Programmes of Studies in the spring term of the academic year 2023-2024.

Applications can be submitted online and the system will remain open until the number of places offered has been filled and in any case until Monday 04 January at 11.59 a.m.

Freshmen will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis, based on the time of submission of their application, to their program of interest. At the time of application, the student must be at least 23 years of age. Once the applications have been reviewed, the results of those admitted and rejected by programme will be announced.

HOU is certified by the National Authority for Higher Education, the Internal Quality Assurance System based on specific, predefined, internationally accepted and published quantitative and qualitative criteria and indicators, harmonized with the Principles and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG 2015). At the same time, it implements a Quality Management System and a Management Adequacy System, certified by EBETAM, according to the standards ELOT EN ISO 9001:2015 and ELOT 1429:2008, respectively. Furthermore, it follows an Information Security Management System, certified by TUV Hellas, according to the standard ELOT ISO/IEC 27001:2013.
