The awards ceremony for the 2026 International Architecture Awards and the 2026 European Prize for Architecture took place on Friday, September 18, at the Secret Roof Garden of the Divani Palace Acropolis. As part of “The City and the World Athens Symposium,” architects from various countries gathered in Athens for an evening of awards and the exchange of ideas.

The event was also commemorated by a group photo of the award winners in front of the Acropolis. People who design in different parts of the world gathered together on an Athenian rooftop, with the city itself setting the tone for the discussion on architecture. At the same time, the event’s program includes the exhibitions “The City and the World” at Contemporary Space Athens, at Miropoleos 74, from September 18 to October 18, 2026, with free admission. The exhibition features the award-winning projects and Honorable Mentions from the 2026 International Architecture Awards, along with an exhibition dedicated to the recipient of the European Prize for Architecture.
